MY VALENTINE’S DAY LOVE LETTER

February 24th, 2012

MY VALENTINE’S DAY

LOVE LETTER

From: My Inner Child

To: My Mommy

Dear Mommy,

I am so lucky to have chosen the perfect Mommy to learn my life lessons from! I’m still learning to be the woman I am today. I wanted to tell you how much you mean to me and how much I love and honor you.

You’ve showed me soooo many lessons, but the BIG KHUNA (lesson) you showed me was how desperately I needed to learn  to LOVE ME FIRST.  By doing my inner work, I’m learning

how to love me, so that in turn I would be able to love others unconditionally. What a journey it’s been, to look at myself and peel away layers, so that I could start to love and honor myself, just as I have for you.

The first thing I had to do was to stop looking outside myself to fill up that void that I hungered for. You showed me the ways I wanted to be treated, loved, honored, forgiven, and appreciated. You helped keep me safe and secure as we continued this journey together.

Thank you for showing me what courage is supposed to feel and look like.

Thank you for showing me all the various levels of how to love me, as I healed my heart like a beautiful rainbow.

Thank you for showing me what it feels like to believe in me.

Thank you for being there for me.

Thank you for the opportunity and privilege of being able to always be a shoulder for you to cry on as well.

Thank you so much for showing me your Big Beautiful Pure Heart.

You are my heart, my love, my soul, you are my everything.

I am the woman today that knows how proud you are of me. That I know for sure.

Spread Love 365 Days a Year-

Not Just on Valentine’s Day!

Everyone, please don’t forget to tell all your Mommies, how much you honor and love them not only on Valentine’s Day or any holiday. Even if you’ve told them before just continue to tell them how you feel about them, you’ll never have another chance when there not there.

Exercise: (Get a pen and paper!)

 1.  The first thing your inner child wants you to do is to write a love letter to your “Mommies”  from YOU  with your alternate hand, which will show you the innocence of your little girl/boy. It’s quite extraordinary.

2. Then everyday ask yourself this question: What is the love that I need today and just write this question and answer for the next 30 days in your journal.

Happy Valentines Day Everyone. I Love You.

P.S. Thank you for the honor of sharing this Valentine’s Love Letter To My Mommy who passed away Dec. 31, 2011. Again Mommy thank you for being you so that I can be me. I miss you terribly, but your right there in my heart guiding me from the other side.

In Loving Memory of Etta Berman

January 5th, 2012

I’m so grateful to have had my mom for so long. She was
on earth for almost 93 years of her life. Although on Tuesday, we had her funeral, it was an absolute celebration of our mother’s life. It’s been a very humbling experience and privilege to have been able to take care of her, like she took care of us.

I would like to share a prayer I read in honor of my
mother, Etta Berman,  and hope it
will touch your life as much as it did mine.

“When I die give what’s left of me away

And if you need to cry,

Cry for your brother walking the street beside you.

And when you need me, put your arms around anyone

and give them what you need to give me.

I want to leave you something,

Something better than words or sounds.

Look for me in the people I’ve known and loves,

And if you cannot give me away,

at least let me live in your eyes and in your heart.

You can love me best by letting hands touch hands,

and letting go of children that need to be free.

Love doesn’t die, people do.

So, when all that’s left of me is love,

Give me away.”

You’ll always be in my heart Mom!

Until we meet again…

Rochelle

Spread The Love In The Whole Family - 3 Ways To Express Love By Adam Sandal

December 24th, 2011

Love is the essential ingredient in a parent-child relationship. But how do you meet your child’s need for love? One way is to discover his favorite expression of love.

Expression of Love Number 1: Quality Time

Give each child your undivided attention, spending time alone with each. Do meaningful activities that do not necessarily require a lot of money or elaborate planning. It can be easy as going to the park and lying a kite together! Often, quality time is limited so be sure to make the time and cherish these moments with your loved ones by being not just physically, but emotionally present.

Expression of Love Number 2: Acts of Service

There is no need to encourage and compliment your child to show how much you appreciate him. Do not wait for him to do something extraordinary; show your appreciation for even the most ordinary things he does for you. Not only will it make him feel loved; it will help him overcome insecurities and boost his confidence.

Expression of Love Number 3: Gifts

Simple and thoughtful gifts can mean a lot - even without the expense! Give loved ones special gifts that are tangible expressions of your love. You do not even need a special occasion. Shower your family with little gifts regularly so that you assure them that you are not just thinking of them.; you also care enough to show it. This way, gifts deepen your relationship because they become a visual symbol of love.

These are just few, there are many more! Express your love right now today.

Top 10 Resolutions for the New Year!

December 12th, 2011

As the new year approaches, it is time to look back over the past year and decide what you want to change about your life in the new year. For many people, New Years resolutions are an opportunity to make a fresh start. For others, it is the chance to learn new habits and live a healthier and happy life. No matter what your approach is to New Years resolutions, here are the top 10 New Years resolutions that many people start with at the beginning of the year.

1 - Quit Smoking

Smoking is one of the number one health problems worldwide. Smoking can lead to a multitude of health problems, including lung cancer, emphysema, high blood pressure, esophageal cancer and many others. Quitting smoking as a New Years resolution is difficult and addiction to nicotine is extremely hard to fight. But with enough dedication and assistance, you can stop smoking.

There are several methods that have proven to be effective in stopping smoking. One of the most effective tools to stop smoking is one-on-one counseling. With counseling you’ll have someone with you every step of the way to quit smoking.

2 - Get Out Of Debt

Today, Americans carry an average of over $10,000 in credit card debt and this is a major New Years resolution. In order to get out of debt, review your budget and cut out the things that you really do not need. Even getting one less daily latte or expensive pair of shoes can make a difference in your budget. If you are deeply in debt, bite the bullet and consider talking to a credit counselor. They may be able to help you consolidate your credit card debts into a single payment or eliminate at least part of your debt and give you some breathing room.

3 - Get Organized

Getting organized can be easy if you are dedicated to carrying through once you get going with it. If your New Years resolution is to get organized, break it down into specifics. Decide precisely what you want to be organized about and then take steps to put it into action. For instance, if you want to be organized about paying your bills every month, mark a day on your calendar when you will pay bills and then set aside a specific place for collecting bills. Then write out your payment checks or log online and make your payments. If you make this into a habit, then it becomes second nature to do it automatically every week or monthly.

4 - Spend More Time With Family & Friends

If your New Years resolution is to spend more time with your family and friends, then you need to set aside time to make it happen. One way to accomplish this is to have one night a week that is for social events. Call your friends and make a date for dinner or to go to the movies. Family night is another great way to spend time with your family. Spending time with friends and family is important because it fosters close relationships and trust. For kids, especially, spending time together can be emotionally healthy and help them develop into healthy adults.

5 - Get In Shape

Getting in shape is a big commitment. Most Americans are overweight and losing even a few pounds and keeping them off can be a challenge for a New Years resolution. If you are out of shape, start slowly and talk to your doctor to discuss any health problems you might have to take into consideration when making a workout plan.

You can take small walks every day and get a good amount of moderate exercise. Instead of parking as close to the mall as possible, park a little farther out and walk the extra steps to go shopping. spaced throughout the day, exercise can be easily integrated into your life.

Also make simple changes to your eating habits to get into shape. Instead of eating ice cream for dessert, choose a dish of fresh fruit. Instead of eating that burger for a quick lunch, choose a healthy salad with a vinaigrette dressing. Even doing this just a few days a week can make a big difference to your waistline.

6 - Help Others

One of the most popular New Years resolutions is to help others. Helping others can be accomplished in a number of ways. If you are active in your church, consider participating in charitable activities, like visiting residents in elderly care or nursing homes. You can also volunteer time in programs to teach adults to read or become a supportive adult to a child. Helping others can be as simple as being kind to the people around you and being willing to lend a comforting shoulder to someone in need.

7 - Learn Something New

Learning something new is one of the most popular New Years resolutions. Think about something that you have always wanted to know and take a shot at it. If you have always wanted to learn Italian, enroll in a language course online or at your local community college. Take an art appreciation course or start reading a non-fiction book on a topic of interest. If you take the attitude that you can always learn something new, then you will grow as a person.

8 - Travel to New Places

Travel is always exciting and is one of the very common New Years resolutions. Choose a place to travel where you have never been and begin to plan your trip. If you do not have someone special to go with you, then try investigating companion travel programs. Be adventurous and throw a dart at a map and go where ever the dart lands on the map.

9 - Enjoy Life More

Enjoying life more is among the top New Years resolutions. Enjoying life is about attitude. If you have a positive attitude and make the best of every situation you are presenting with in life, you will find yourself happier and more content, even through the difficult times. Enjoying life is a great goal to have for the new year.

10 - Go to School

In today’s economy, people are often looking for ways to reinvent themselves. Going to school is one of the top New Years resolutions as a way to start a new career or develop new skills. Even if you goal is simply to learn about a new topic, going to school is a great way to develop new friends and engage yourself.

Most people who create New Years resolutions unfortunately fail as a result of a number of factors. These factors include creating too many New Years resolutions, not writing down your New Years resolutions, not having a support group and keeping your New Years resolutions to yourself.

How Do I Stick to My New Years Resolutions?

The secret to sticking to your New Years resolutions is to start immediately so when New Years day comes you’ll be well and truly on your way to accomplishing your goals. Giving Yourself The Gift of Gratitude

November 22nd, 2011

Before I started to mediate today,  I set an intention to see what I’m going to speak about in my newsletter. The word that came to me was GRATITUDE. How perfect was that,  since my whole life has changed,  because of my being in gratitude. When I go back down memory lane, I was always in the mindset at looking at what I DIDN’T HAVE in my life or what I felt I should have. (I know you know about the shoulds, right?)  Well, since that wasn’t working so well for me…I really had to look and see what I needed to do to change.

I decided to incorporate gratitude into my life. I went out and did small things first, like letting someone get in front of me when I was driving,  or get in front of me while waiting to check out either at the supermarket. I even paid for someone when going through a toll! It felt so great to be able to do something that people weren’t even expecting it. Their faces said it all!  My heart was so filled with joy, happiness, and love.

Gratitude has also shown me that by being grateful for all the little things first,  my life has become so much richer. Just like when I open my eyes in the morning. Before I get out of bed I thank the Divine for my good night’s sleep, for my soft pillow that supported me throughout the night, my great new mattress, great health for myself, family, friends and community of coaches. I set up my day to have fun, joy, and laughter. I ask the Divine to use me wherever I’m to go, then I let go and trust. So, let’s be in gratitude for all the things we have in our lives!

Gratitude to me is like a warm blanket of love that changes how you view life.  Gratitude is a gift you give to yourself and others, it’s a feeling of happiness and fulfillment. It’s a word that has to be put into action and once it does, you’ll enter a state of peace and love.

This beautiful word has become my prayer of love for all of us. Try these exercises in your journal and see what comes up for you…

1. What would be something you can do today to show your  gratitude?

2. Make a list of what your grateful for.

3. Everyday look and see what you can do for yourself and others and just put it into action.

I believe your lives will look quite different and you’ll feel GREAT!!!

My wish and pray of all is to just be open to implementing gratitude into your life.

I want to wish you all a very Happy Thanksgiving,
you’ve made my life so much richer. Thank you.

With much love, peace and gratitude,
Coach Rochelle Schwartz
